UK Ian C (son of Ron C) here, thanks to Lisa for letting me know the sad news about Alan. Sounded like the best sort of 'copper', and given the way that role touches so many peoples' lives, he must have done a great deal of good for the local community.
Hope Sue and the kids find the strength to continue on and make Alan as proud of them going forward as I'm sure he always was. Love to Erin as well - who could forget the last-minute suprise of finding we were from opposite sides of the world, yet related.
