To Sue and the boys. It,s taken a week to come to grips with the loss of one of the greatest men we know. Alan was a fabulous work colleague and a great friend to us. I will remember fondly the months we spent travelling eastern Victoria teaching senior police to be better managers. We spent several nights sampling the areas finest wines and food. The banter was always great between us. Alan loved his family more than anything else although I sometimes had to kick him out of the station to go home to Sue because he was so dedicated to his work. At a time when we can't give Sue a big hug, we just have to keep thinking of all the great times we had. We're going to miss the barbecues, with a glass or two of something fine, whilst solving the problems of the world. You may be gone our good friend but you will always be in our hearts and never forgotten. We can't believe you and Sue won!t be able to share your retirement dreams. Rest in peace beautiful man.
