Like many, I'm still in shock and continue to shed tears knowing Brad is no longer with us. The next time we're together, it will be incredibly difficult knowing he's not there with us. Whether it's on the Friday Vanguard calls, in-person at a VUG, VeeamON, or the Summit, his love for life, traveling, tech, and people was truly inspiring. He embraced every moment and lived life to its fullest. Whenever we spoke about his travels, I felt a twinge of jealousy because I knew how much joy it brought him.
Brad was always so pleasant and a pleasure to be around; he always seemed to lift the mood in the room in a positive way. He and I worked briefly together during my time at ThinkOn, and his energy for tech and helping others was such an inspiration. In 2022, my family joined me in Prague for the Vanguard Summit. I reached out to Brad weeks prior to the trip and asked him for advice and recommendations for places my wife and kids could visit while in the area because I knew he was an avid traveler and loved sharing his experiences with anyone. Without hesitation, he replied, and my wife and I joined him on a Microsoft Teams call. Brad answered every question in such great detail. He advised my wife on which train to catch when departing Prague, which tickets to purchase, and even which seats to choose (I didn't realize at the time that some trains don't offer any seats). While in Prague, I introduced my wife and kids to Brad because I wanted them to meet him in person and thank him for his time and kindness. Brad smiled and said, 'No worries.' A few days later, Brad followed up with me to see if my wife and kids enjoyed the recommendations he suggested.
Rest in peace, Brad. You will forever be missed.
