Deeply saddened to hear about Professor Chaplins passing away. May his soul rest in peace.
I was fortunate to have studied under Professor G.B.G.Chaplin way back in 1977 when He taught us the basic principles of the BJT operation under the course titled Circuit Techniques. Others which come to mind during those golden years within the Department of Electrical Engineering Science include Prof J.A Turner, Prof K.W Cattermole, Dr Gordon Ritchie, Ian Dilworth, Dr J.K. Fidler, Dr E.V. Jones, Dr M.J.Hawksford, Dr B.R. Gaines, who was also the Chairman of the Department. The vice chancellor in those days was Dr Albert Solomon.
Professor Chaplin will be sorely missed.
