It is hard to say goodbye Alan.
You have been a central part of our lives for so long that it is impossible to imagine what we will do without you.
For us, you will be remembered as the voice of reason and calm, the solid and dependable friend and the loved and loving man who adored his family. You were always a class act.
I take some comfort in the fact that we have some beautiful memories to keep us going. I remember meeting you all those years ago and I knew, even then, that you were going to make my dear friend happy. Your legacy will live on.
