Chuck Berry was an American guitarist, singer and songwriter. Probably there would have been no rock and roll without Chuck Berry. Started in 1955 with Muddy Waters, the Everly Brothers and Buddy Holly he became more and more popular. Songs as Maybellene (1955), Roll over Beethoven (1956) Rock and Roll music (1957) and Jonny B. Goode (1958) were massive hits. With writing lyrics that focused on teen life and consumerism, and developing a music style that included guitar solos and showmanship, Berry was a major influence on rock music.
Berry has influenced and inspired many music artists, like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Beach Boys and Bob Dylan. Some of Berry’s songs were adapted and recorded by them.
