It is with great sadness we've learned of Franz's death. Many of my colleagues in the Irish focal point knew Franz and always spoke of him with warmth, respect and admiration. His contribution to sciences has been immense but it is the witty, kind and friendly Franz we remember at this time. Our thoughts are with his family and close friends.
