My deepest condolences to the family. Prof. Nigel Bell was always a source of support and positivity during the MSc at Imperial in 2010-2011. He had a unique way to make challenging topics entertaining and explaining multidisciplinary issues with humor and clarity in equal measure. He also would not be "rushed" into the speed of the modern world, something I really took inspiration from. I remember one of my closest friends and classmates sending him a couple of questions by email, to which Nigel simply responded "Dear" (he wouldn't answer a hasty email until it at least had a proper greeting!) He will be fondly remembered and his legacy lives on within the Imperial community and the environmental field in general. May he rest in peace.
