Garry John Rose, age 43, of Harbor Beach, MI passed unexpectedly on February 3, 2017 in Port Charles, Louisiana.
Garry was a gentle soul who made friends wherever he traveled. A graduate of Harbor Beach High School, Garry initially studied art at Kendall Art Institute on a scholarship. He eventually graduated from ITT Tech with a degree in automotive engineering, but he never abandoned his artistic pursuits. He continually expressed his creative energies in his artwork, especially in drawing and painting. Garry was an avid sports fan but he especially loved fishing, football, and the Detroit Red Wings. He also enjoyed reading, history, and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his beloved children, Sean and Chad Rose, of Montrose, MI, and their mother, Jennifer Rose, of Montrose, MI; his mother, Linda Rose, and his father, Garry Rose; his sister, Felicia Rose-Barry, and her husband, Peter Rose-Barry, of Saginaw, MI; his sister, Angela Melick, of Gagetown, MI; his grandfather, Wilbur Craven, of Harbor Beach, MI; and many friends from Cedar Lake and Harbor Beach and beyond. He will joining his grandmother, Violet, and his cousins, Chad and Scott Maxon, in heaven.
The family is planning a memorial service on Friday, February 10, 2017 at 1:00pm at Lighthouse Assembly of God, 8960 Section Line Road, Harbor Beach, MI 48441. A lunch service will be provided at the church following the service. An urn burial will follow at a later date.
