Heather loved the ocean, whether it was spending her childhood summers at her family cottage at Tantallon, collecting mermaids, or reading and getting some sun on the her deck in Bear Cove. Her home in Bear Cove was also the location of her famous lobster boils enjoyed by many family and friends.
HHH, as she was often known, had a vibrant, outgoing personality and could often be seen being chauffeured around in her convertible. She had a great eye for fashion and loved getting good deals at one of the many secondhand clothing stores across the province. She also looked forward to her annual trips to the Dominican Republic with her best friend Bunny.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to support research in mitochondrial disorders at mitoaction.org. The family would like to thank the staff in section 7.4 at the QEII for making her last moments as peaceful as possible. A memorial celebration will be held at a later date with details to follow.
