John 'Moulah' Gardiner was our Hon Treasurer for not less than 10 years before the Hon Jo Gullick. John also stuck around for a few years helping the Group on the Committee. John actively took part in our ski camps, family camps, on a few 'coldest night' and 'surf camps' as a parent helper. He fixed the plumbing and draining issues at the hall on working bees and doing extras (his first career was as a plumber). His youngest and 3rd child, Mat, has his name on the 1st Wearne Bay Queens Scout Honour Board in the hall. His eldest Ashleigh was in Brownies before W Bay became both a Boys and Girls Group. His middle child Liam was a Joey, Cub and Scout. This really is horrible that a youthful and pleasant fellow has so unexpectedly and suddenly died. We as a group will be doing a number of things to remember John Gardiner, once we get clear of Covid-19. Please reflect and all be grateful that there are some people like John who have made a positive contribution to our mighty group and the community. Lest We Forget John 'Moulah' Gardiner. Bill M.
