I went for a meeting with Nigel in 2012, to talk about graduate recruitment and opportunities for people completing the MSc Environmental Technology.
In the course of one meeting, Nigel convinced me to apply for the course myself. This was life changing and also life affirming. My dad had died two years previously, himself an environmental specialist academic, and he would have been tremendously pleased to see me on that course.
Because of Nigel's encouragement to apply, I found myself working in a job soon after graduating that gave me some of my best friends, and much more fulfilling career prospects.
Thank you Nigel for seeing potential in me, a music graduate with 6 years' recruitment experience. RIP.
