Ruth Southall left us far too early. This page offers her colleagues, friends and loved ones the opportunity to share their memories of a wonderful, fierce, talented lady whose absence will be deeply felt.
Ruth was many things in her time with the Union- mentor, manager, friend, expert, colleague, voice of reason, sounding board, principled leader - she will have very personal and unique connections to everyone who knew her. Please take time to share your memories of Ruth, in the hope that doing so will allow those missing her to see how much she was loved; the impact she had (and continues to have) and how her vibrancy made the Union a better place.
We’ve set this page up to allow anonymous contributions if you prefer. It is our intention that Ruth’s family can access these pages and see the comments to provide some comfort as they come to terms with their loss.
At the point where we come back together as a Union community, we expect to celebrate Ruth’s life in a manner fitting to her memory. This page will help to build a picture of her time with the Union, and serve as a permanent record of just how much she is missed.
