I first met Steph after she joined MHL England as we were running a similar programme here in Northern Ireland. Although we did not work together on a very regular basis, I found Steph to be a very sincere, wise and thoughtful person. She valued listening above talking and I often looked over at her during meetings and could see her carefully distilling all the information she was hearing before she contributed to the discussion. And here's the thing.....her response was always worth waiting for and typically brought an original and alternative perspective to the table.
Steph was the sort of person who would do anything to help out a colleague in need and was selfless with her time and her intellect. She was also great fun to be around.
It is hard to believe that our paths won’t cross again and I would like to extend my sincere condolences to her family.
