I first met Tomáš when he visited Florida State University about 20 years ago. I was fortunate to get to work with him on a special issue on Czech Drug Policy for the Journal of Drug Issues. I kept in touch and he always kindly spoke to my American students when I visited Prague over the years. This is the last photo I have of him - he was smiling and happy. He will be missed!
