Elizabeth Chona Muyovwe

March 12, 1956 - January 31, 2021

Hon. Lady Justice Elizabeth Nkombo Chona Muyovwe remembered. We celebrate the life of a remarkable woman, daughter, grandmother, mother, sister, aunt, friend, mentor as well as an inspirational, hardworking and honest Judge. It's lovely to see the outpouring of kind messages and calls from friends all over the world to Elizabeth’s family members. Although she may be surprised at just how many people deeply cared for and cherished her life and friendship. She touched all those she met with her smile and welcoming generous ways. She lived proudly as a devoted Christian who always had God at the center of her life. Through any adversity, she stood strong in her faith always rising above every challenge, and always had the words, “It is well” for every situation. She was incredibly hard-working, passionate, and driven which can be seen through her many achievements and accolades. Her greatest job was raising her four beautiful children, Bubala, Muki, Malindi, and Mukale. As their mother, she had her greatest role in teaching and nurturing them to love God and work hard. She lived as an example to many and you can see her spirit in the life of her children. Her generosity impacted many lives through her philanthropy by diligently supporting charity, visiting the sick, caring for widows and helping fund education needs for the needy. She had a big heart, and her love touched many. All those that knew her, know how she would light up the room with her laugh, transform any space with her positive energy and be the person everyone wanted to see and be counselled. We will continue to cherish every moment we got to spend with her and know that she's in the hands of her Heavenly Father. Her memory lives on in her legacy, her giving heart, her children and her grandchild.

Last time I saw her was at my late brothers funeral. My mother couldn't be consoled. She came and managed to bring my mother back to some place of sanity with her usual kind words "it is well my sister". She said to my mum. Today I say it is well Aunty with a heavy heart. You were a rare gem

A beautiful woman inside out . You were down to earth and treat everyone with kind, respect and compassion regardless of who are . My sincere condolences to the family . Remember that every death has no answer to why it happened but look to God for comfort. Nothing can replace the person you have lost because there is one of each person . May the almighty God continue to comfort you all May the beautiful soul of judge Elizabeth rest in eternal peace .
