We moved into the house beside Pat and Bill about 18 months ago, and we knew from the beginning that we got very (very!) lucky with our neighbours. Bill went out of his way to welcome us to the house. He often commented on how much he enjoyed hearing ours boys chattering and pottering in the garden. He always took the time to chat to the boys and play ‘peepo’ over the wall. To me, he is the kind of person that would restore your faith in humanity - always kind, pleasant, friendly. As many people have said, he was a true gentleman. We loved seeing him in the garden, we miss him a lot and are sorry that we won’t have the opportunity to get to know him better. Sending our love to the family.
