Dear Constance,
We remember the times spent together in debate sessions, staying back late after school, eating takeaway dinners on the floor outside the classrooms, excited to begin. It was a joy to debate alongside you, to guide you during your junior years and to see you guide your juniors in turn. At competition season, you would attend each round, in quiet support for the team speaking that day. You would take notes, listening intently, taking down points other speakers might have missed. You were the youngest at the Anglican High School sparring session in 2018- a first-year amongst third-year seniors. However, that never held you back from trying. When you stepped up to speak, you made precise, creatively crafted arguments, and delivered them with poise and skill. We remember how you would diffuse tension and help your juniors during drilling sparring training sessions. We remember the bus rides, and cue cards, and photoshoots in our fancy competition blazers, but most of all we remember your friendship, how you always had a soft smile, or a word of encouragement for each one of us. Your kindness, passion and bright-eyed curiosity is something that we will always remember. We remember you fondly, and we miss you dearly.
