We worked closely together in the last years within the Central Asia Drug Action Programme (CADAP), had serveral visits together to the region. Our last visit took us to Turkmenistan in April where he got this damned infection. We went together with Heino Stöver to the 'devil's hole' in the Turkmen desert and made jokes about all the world and his brother. I will miss him, his analytical competency, his sense of humor, his friendship.
I wish you all the best Franz, wherever you are now.
