Nick Spencer

October 15, 1958 - April 7, 2020

Our great friend and former colleague, Nick Spencer, has sadly passed away. Nick left BP at the end of March, and his death has come as a great shock to us all. We are truly sorry and cannot possibly comprehend the grief that Nick’s partner Eve, and his sons Richard and Robert, are feeling right now. We would like to share your memories, stories and anecdotes of Nick and his time at BP with his family. Nick was a much-loved colleague, and we appreciate your support to help his family through this extremely difficult time.

Richard and Robert, Picture this, the Whiting refinery is in full modernization mode and your dad is crazy busy running a business. He worked incredibly long hours everyday. Yet when two high school seniors ask if they could meet with him and talk about engineering he made time to talk. My son Luke and his friend Tyler loved meeting your dad. He made them feel comfortable as they laughed and talked about British comedies, Top Gear and the love of cars, and to be easy about school and life. Your dad was an outstanding guy who took time to say hello and made others feel important. Your dad will be greatly missed. May the love of family and reading about him help you through this difficult time. Many prayers are being said for you both.
