I first met Nick in 2010 when starting design for the FNA integrated business planning process. Nick had a lot going on with WRMP entering late stages of build and start-up in addition to the daily operations of the site. Nick was generous with his time and calm under pressure as we implemented some appreciable business process changes while physical plant changes were already underway; Nick certainly embraced the "perform while we transform" attitude at that time. Through the 10 years I've known Nick only periodically through a few activities, but he was always caring and supportive; I think he left many of us with great examples to uphold in how we behave and interact as human beings.
