I had the great pleasure of working with Nick in the development of our Operational Leaders across the company. It was very clear that Nick was passionate about investing in our front line leaders. Nick spent many hours sharing his views on what makes a good operational leader, such as care, trust and really knowing your people. Having clear understanding of the key operational risks is one area that Nick role modelled by example. Nick led several sessions with the cadres on "what was on their mind" and he really did want to know the good and the bad, he ensured it was a safe place for people to be open and honest. Nick has left a legacy of what our expectations are of a good Operational Leader and will benefit leaders long into the future.
