John and i started at ANSTO at around the same time and went through our site familiarisations together and this created a great affinity between he and myself. Over the years we have worked closely together on various initiatives and always found John to be very open, honest and forthright in his dealings which were encapulated in his easy going respectful and light hearted disposition and always with that warm smile and enthusiasm. Over these past months we have worked very closely to the point of keeping in touch with each other and when at site i made a point of calling in on him for a dose of JG. My sincere condolences for you all at this very difficult and confusing time and I hope these words shed some light on the wonderful person he is and how he will be remembered. His wonderful spirt lives on in you and with that we are all grateful.
