John Gardiner, ANSTO's Property Manager based at Lucas Heights, sadly passed away on Friday 24 April, 2020. This news will come as a shock to many who worked with John and it’s a significant loss to the ANSTO community. During his time at ANSTO, John made a significant contribution working on major projects including the Innovation Precinct, as well as NMI and CSIRO matters. John contributed greatly to the development of all ANSTO’s campuses. As property manager, John was the face of ANSTO among the tenants, building strong relationships with all. Many of them have been impacted by the COVID-19 crisis and John had been working with them to provide support in recent weeks. Due to COVID-19 there are modifications to funeral gatherings so please share your memories and pass on your condolences to John's family. John was liked by many across ANSTO. He was the absolute professional and highly regarded for his composed nature and thoughtfulness. He was a valued ANSTO senior manager and will be greatly missed.

All of John's friends at CSIRO, Lucas Heights were saddened to hear of his untimely death. John was the key person at ANSTO with whom I regularly liaised over CSIRO-ANSTO issues. John was a delight to work with, always patient, understanding and helpful in finding solutions. He was the key to the friendly relationship we have with ANSTO at Lucas Heights, a relationship built on trust and respect over some years now. His will be sorely missed by all our staff.
