My wife was such a wonderful woman. I'm not sure I can really express just how much I will miss her...Not only was she a wonderful wife, but a wonderful mother, best friend, colleague ...and so much more... Josy was born to Mzee Samson Owiyo and Mama Marianna Owiyo, natives of Karachuonyo in Homa Bay County-Kenya, but, residing and working in Nairobi. Sister to Biko, Bella, Georgy and Bobby... She did her primary schooling in Nairobi,before proceeding to Mukumu Girls High School to complete her O-Levels... She latter joined The University Of Nairobi for a bachelor's degree in Anthropology. After completing her undergraduate studies, she joined the Postal Corporation of Kenya as a graduate trainee and had since risen to be an assistant manager... Josy's ability to make everyone feel comfortable, secure and loved were her greatest strengths... It was only by chance that first I met Josy a couple of months before her final semester at the University at a christian function. The moment I set eyes on her, I knew she was the one for me. She was the loveliest woman I had ever seen... Our courtship was difficult as we had to overcome distance; after two months into our courtship, I traveled out of the country for my Masters degree, but I was determined to make her my wife. Josy and I came from different backgrounds: I was brought up in the village and she was born and brought up in the city,but that didn't worry us – we complimented each other perfectly and got on like a house of fire... It has been nearly 9 years since we were first married and I look back over those years with so much happiness... Josy was a hard working and giving woman. Not only was she committed to her job – working long hours and going for out of station duties that would drive me insane – she was also committed to giving back to the community, especially standing with our pastors friends in the ministry... She was my soul mate and my inspiration – my steadfast rock that helped me through thick and thin. Josy supported and loved us all, and was always there to help navigate through life’s challenges... Josy may be in heaven now, but I know she is looking down at us with a big smile on her face saying, “Forge ahead – make the best of life – and I’ll see you soon. We have work to do up here, too.”...
