Pat Midgley

29 juli 1937 - 29 maart 2020

It is with great sadness that we mark the passing of Councillor Pat Midgley on Sunday 29th March. Pat served as a Councillor in Sheffield for 33 years. She also served as Lord Mayor of Sheffield between 2000 and 2001. Pat showed great care and support to everyone she met. She was a passionate and extremely dedicated community champion. Pat will always be very highly thought of and missed very much. No longer by our side, but she will always be in our hearts.

Sending love and deepest condolences to Uncle Don, Joanna, Jamie & Neil on the sad passing of (Aunty) Pat. Pat was a close friend of my Mum for over 70 years and I have many fond memories of going round to Pats house as a child and going on trips to the seaside organised by the church on Fitzwalter Road. Pat was always full of zest and energy but also such a warm, kind person. My own Mum had passed away last year and the last time I saw Pat was last October she gave me a big hug and said how much she missed my Mum and said “Are you alright love” that was Pat to a tee such a big warm generous heart. Sheffield was a better place due to people like (Aunty) Pat and it will be worse off without her but she will always be in our memories and our hearts. God bless ❤️Xx
