As a young foreign student back in early 2000’s, I was so lucky to have Nigel as my course director and thesis supervisor. Looking back, his support and encouragement were nothing but vital to keep me going during some of the toughest times in my life. I cherish the intellectual discussions we had for my study, but more joyful to recall those conversations with him on the train, in pubs at Canary Wharf, on study trip and many more. He was always smiling and genuinely keen to know more about his students. My condolences to Nigel’s family and friends. RIP Professor Bell.
