NOEL PLAYFAIR (62), a father of eight, loving partner to Rachelle, a Railwayman for 44 years and a much loved character in many capacities known nationally across the rail industry sadly departed suddenly on Monday 16th January 2023 whilst at work in Portadown. Noel mentored a lot of us on the railway including myself. His knowledge of the railway was unbelievable. You could ask him for advice anytime and he would always have an answer with a smile on his face. He will be sorely missed about the place but he will never be forgotten.
