I offer my most sincere condolences to the Jesuit community in Lusaka and to Fr Michael's family in Ireland . He was an extraordinary person. I can hear his voice - so soft and full of kindness and wisdom. When I was teaching in the University of Zambia in Lusaka, I lived for a while in a house for visiting academics House near the Jesuit house. I remember well one evening when I was there for supper. Before we went in Michael took me to visit his rabbits - black and while and cuddely. Imagine my surprise when the main course at supper was delicious rabbit stew!. I have so many wondeful memories. He lived a long and great life. May his soul rest in peace.
