Thomas has been one of my most highly respected colleagues, but especially my friend. It was so great to see his ambition on the nexus between energy access and humanitarian work take off. From the first moment we met around a cheese fondue in the swimming pool restaurant in Geneva to the amazing humanitarian energy conference in Kigali. And all the challenges in-between. Always two steps forward, one step back. And throughout Thomas did an amazing job to engage and inspire his colleagues. I was always looking forward to meet Thomas in SDG7 community (like next week in New York). Now there are only dear memories - Frank (MFA-NL)
